About the Foundation

The future calls for a continued effort to raise funds. The ACLF has accepted this challenge. Through a variety of activities, the foundation works year-round to acquaint the community with its efforts and to encourage contributions.

The foundation is a recognized 501 (c) 3 nonprofit agency. Donations to the foundation are tax deductible.

The board of directors, made up of volunteers representing many interests in the community, meets regularly to discuss foundation efforts and activities, to continue investment planning, and to hear updates on library needs.  

 

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Atlantic County Library Foundation is to raise and administer funds to enhance and expand the resources of the Atlantic County Library System and bring a higher level of visibility of the services to the public.

It shall be the function of the Atlantic County Library Foundation to raise funds through various fund raising endeavors and to be responsible for the disbursement of those funds. Such disbursements shall include, but not be limited to, services to the public, funding programs within the library system, and helping to provide funds for students pursuing library service as a profession.
